Grupo Duelo Charlotte Concert reviews
Not what I expected
Crowd was very involved, the mood was intense and everyone seemed to be really into it. They kept it running smoothly and little booths to shop and eat! Plus I've competed in this venue with my horse so it was fun to be able to sit in the bleachers for a change! A lot of fun people. Pros: Very Very rough. I witnessed a rider break his arm and a rider get knocked out from the bull falling on him. Of course, this is part of Bull riding but beware, it is not for the faint hearted. They also didn't treat their bulls very nice. When parking there was a crowd protesting about animal abuse and I now know why. During the break they had their typical teeter tooter and poker with a crazy bull running around gorging men. However, after they all got out of the ring, the bull was not wanting to go back to his stall. He began chasing the horses, which was very very scary to watch, especially being a horse lover. One of the ropers finally roped him but not by his horns, but the poor bull's front feet. Pulled them together and dragged the poor bull across the whole arena. The bull bucked out of it and ended up getting caught by one foot in between one of the stalls and the roper pulled even tighter on the rope. Bottom line: Paying 30 bucks to see a bull being dragged across the floor? I think not.
